In Western Sicily, where tourism hasn't made everything the same yet.

  • Still undiscovered. While the east coast is busy with tour buses, the west feels like the Sicily your parents told you about.
  • Real places, not postcards. Fishing villages, mountain trails, empty beaches. Here you can still be the only person at the cove.
  • People who open their door. No key box, no automated message. A family that lives next door, cooks for you, and knows the best spots.
Coastal path along Sicilian cliffs

Baglio Ritunnu doesn't sell a bed or a roof. It sells the feeling of having arrived at a real place with real people and discovering Western Sicily from there.

Not a hotel.

A family that knows your name, a garden you share with no one else, and homemade marmalade on your breakfast table.

Not a holiday rental.

Hosts who live on site, two houses with their own character, and someone who tells you where the fishermen sell their catch.

Not an agriturismo.

A real family home where Teresa picks lemons from the garden and Nico lights the grill for you.

Good questions from real guests.

Yes. The location is strategic but rural. Beach 10–15 min on foot, everything else by car. "Great base for exploring." — Miha

In summer yes, as everywhere in Western Sicily. Repellents available on site. "The mosquitos, but we were the intruders there." — Maria, Malta

Heating available (reversible AC). Spring to autumn is optimal. "In April it's still cool morning and evening." — Julien

We send you GPS coordinates before arrival. The address is Contrada Scurati 55 — not "Via Scurati" (Google Maps sometimes gets confused). We're always reachable by phone if you get lost.

Currently up to 8 persons across 2 houses. Each house has its own entrance, kitchen, and bathroom. A third house is coming soon.
